About us
Emmaus Rd is a regional, multi-congregational, multiplying church helping transform the communities we live in locally, while resourcing the 24-7 Prayer movement internationally. We're looking for someone with a heart for children, families, and community life to help embed our work in Aldershot.

The role
This is an exciting dual-focus role. For three days a week, you'll lead our Kids ministry.  For the remaining two days, you'll help lead our Collectives and small groups, and oversee welcome and community connections, supporting the Pastor and Co-Pastor in the life of the wider church.

About you
You will:
·         Have a deep, personal commitment to Jesus and to the life and culture of Emmaus Rd.
·         Have proven experience working with children and children with SEN — church, education, clubs, or statutory settings.
·         Have confidence adapting activities and groups to include children with SEN.
·         Have a working understanding of child safeguarding.
·         Be a natural team-builder, able to lead, inspire, and grow volunteer teams.
·         Have strong planning and organisational skills, and confident communication with people at all levels.
·         Have a connection to the Aldershot community, live within a reasonable commute (or be willing to relocate) and willing to make Emmaus Rd Aldershot your spiritual home.
·         Have flexibility to meet children and families when they're available — including after school.

 A note about this role
Because this role involves modelling and teaching Christian discipleship to children and families, and representing the church's Christian ethos to schools and other external organisations, being a practising Christian committed to the beliefs, values, and mission of the church is a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.

We take safeguarding seriously and are committed to safer recruitment practice. This role works with children and is subject to appropriate checks, including ID/Right to Work checks, references, and an Enhanced DBS disclosure.

To apply
Submit your CV to recruitment@emmausrd.com along with a 1–2 page covering letter explaining your interest in the role.

For more information or to arrange an informal conversation, email recruitment@emmausrd.com.

Finally, if Emmaus Rd is new to you and you're interested in applying, we would love to welcome you to Aldershot on a Sunday. If this is feasible, do email recruitment@emmausrd.com to let us know you are planning to come.
